Poonam knew from early on that she wanted to be a nurse. She was very close to her grandmother, who taught Poonam all about life. Their companionship shaped Poonam’s beliefs and behaviors. But it was in the last six months of her life, that Poonam’s grandmother unknowingly set in stone what would be Poonam’s.
One thing, apart from her grandmother’s indomitable spirit, were the nurses and caregivers at her bedside. They showed Poonam firsthand the dramatic difference that comes from having professional and sincere help at your bedside. They gently explained everything to her grandmother and family. They understood the family’s pain, but kept to a good firm discipline with their regime. They instilled in Poonam a trust that granny was in good hands.
It was at that moment that Poonam decided to provide care for the elderly, and at a price they could afford. She started her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and worked her way up to be a Registered Nurse and eventually earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Her grandmother’s inspiration shaping Poonam, she opened Inspired Care Home Health, where she continues her passion of helping seniors. Her dream is to care for your family members with the same love and care her grandmother received.
